Tea Party Birthday

Wednesday, September 17

In the words of little Miss Hannah Grace "I had a BLAST!"

The tea party birthday was so fun. The kids came in and each made a fruit loop necklace. I think Carter ate more since he was just wearing a piece of yarn around his neck. As they finished up the necklaces I read them Fancy Nancy to get them thinking fancy before we went the the tea party. So we read the book and the kids loved every word it was so cute. Next, we had to get fancy for our tea so the boys put on top hats and the girls put on a feather hat. The tea party was so much fun the kids thought it was so cool to drink out of REAL tea cups. We played put the handle on the tea pot and opened the gifts. We did have time to read two more Fancy Nancy books before all the parents arrived.

Thanks for making this such a special day for Hannah Grace.

Chuck & Tiffany

Saturday, September 13

Thursday we had a little party with Tiffany at Chuck E Cheese. Tiffany will be starting Chemo on Tuesday so this was a really special time to spend together.

This was the best ride because all 3 kiddos can ride for one token.

The Ladies.

Of course every good party has to have a cake with extra frosting.

I just love Sarah Jane. She would get so excited to ride with the kids. She is a dare devil like her sister. No ride is ever to big for SJ (Momma thinks other wise.)

Love.

Friday, September 12

This past Tuesday I was really loving Brian and wanted to do something special. So a while back he cut out a recipe to make this cake. So I figured I would give it a try.

Thankfully I started early in the morning because it took me and hour and a half just to make the cake batter. I have never in my life had to make two batters one with 10 egg yolks and one with 10 egg whites. Next, I roasted the almonds, pecans, walnuts and coconut. Now the frosting... it is AMAZING!

Brian loved the cake. So did many of his friends. I went to cooking school Tuesday night and Brian had a party with his cake.

Can you believe that he was totally loving me that day too.

I am just so grateful to have such a wonderful husband. I respect all that he does. Thank you honey. I love you.

Sarah Jane Talks

Thursday, September 11

Hey! Sarah Jane.

"Yes. What do you need?"

Who did your hair this morning?
"How should I know?"

"Oh. I think I remember Hannah pulling on my hair this morning. She is the coolest big sister!"

School Days

Did I mention that Hannah's first day of school was also her birthday. She was so excited!! We have a family tradition to go to The Fractured Prune for a sprinkle donut. So sweet little Hannah decided she would take a sprinkle donuts for all her classmates.

The Fractured Prune is having a contest to take a picture of who you eat your Fractured Prune donuts with. Hannah eats them at school. I am sure the parents were so happy to know their kids were eating junk at snack. Usually they eat carrot sticks or popcorn.

Although they could pick the popcorn if they wanted. Although most of the kids wanted seconds on donuts not popcorn.

Drinking fountains are so much fun.

Some fun on the playground.

Hannah and her BFF, Jordan. Isn't funny how many best friends the kids have. I thought you could only have one BEST friend. Oh well!

Chocolate Princess

Many of you have requested pictures of the birthday cake.

Hannah was sitting out on the front steps with Sue the other day and she told her exactly what kind of cake she wanted. It was to be a chocolate princess cake with white frosting and mini kisses. I must admit that I am totally amazed that Sue was able to make this masterpiece between running to doctor appointments and work. Thank you for making this such a special day for Hannah.

Truth be told that Hannah had a fever of 103 and wasn't feeling like much of a party girl, but she still talks about this cake. Thank You!

Birthday Girl

Wednesday, September 3

Happy 4th Birthday to our sweet Hannah Grace.

Of course we had to get Bitty in the picture.

Now we are off to our very busy day. A sprinkle donut at the Fractured Prune, first day of school, birthday cake and the Awana kick off.
